One of the nation’s foremost experts and an always popular media personality, Executive Chef Brian Averna has appeared on some of the nation's leading broadcast news programs, including The Today Show, MSNBC's The Most and ESPN 2's Cold Pizza. Chef Averna has also shared his culinary expertise on Shopping Smart with Phil Lempert (WOR Radio Network), The Tony Danza Show, Cooking with Paula Deen, and on various network affiliates around the country. He has also been a Guest Chef for the QVC television network and a chef co-host for their sister television network “Q2”.

Additionally, Chef Averna appeared on Clear Channel Broadcasting as the “WELI Food Guy”, which was nominated for two AP awards. In 2005, Chef Brian orchestrated the build of the 132,000- pound “world’s largest birthday cake” at The Las Vegas Centennial Celebration, which still holds the Guinness World Record for largest cake.

His work with 1,100 volunteers was chronicled in two documentaries for The Travel Channel and on PBS.

Throughout his career, Chef Brian has traveled across the world, allowing him the opportunity to see American and international cuisine at its best and dine in some of the world’s finest restaurants. Leveraging his expertise as a food trend connoisseur, Chef Brian has lectured on various cooking techniques, ethnic trends and state of the art equipment at national and regional food expositions and regional lecture series. He has participated in culinary roundtables for Mc’Donalds and was named Chef of the Year at the Premier Healthcare Culinary Clinics out of a field of 24 executive chefs. He will be presenting CRAVE at the Dietary Managers Association’s annual conference in July of 2012.
